-It is not required to consult the Index first before proceeding to the Tables to complete
the code.

ICD-10-PCS Tables - answer -ICD-10-PCS tables are composed of grids specifying
the valid combinations of characters that make up a procedure code
-Within a Table, valid codes include all combinations of choices in characters 4 through
7 contained in the same row of the Table

All ICD-10-PCS codes have an alphanumeric structure, with all codes made up of -
