2. Communication required for pt to give or refuse consent is cannot take place
(language or disability)
3. reasonable steps have been taken to attempt to establish a method of
communication, but no means have been found
4. A delay required to find a method of communication will only prolong the pt suffering
or put the pt at risk of sustaining severe bodily harm
5. No reason to believe the pt does not want Tx
