Building a SWOT Analysis of my company will determine the areas that are needed to
grow and what is already in place as far as the values of the organization. This will determine the
strengths and weaknesses within the organization and give a clear understanding of what is the
next step in allowing the organization to change for the benefit of the staff and healthcare
environment.
Logistics department
There are a solid number of employees that work in the logistics department. About ten
staff members on the management team manage about 20 to 40 employees that are doing all the
fieldwork. We all have different shifts and different areas to work. Each area, mail and supply,
cold chain management, and moving/recycling services, have a supervisor that we report to with
any issues or advice that we have or need. We have assigned routes and are expected to complete
each route daily according to the schedule tasks for those days. We have two dispatchers that
offer us information on where we need to go or if changes are made within the route itself on that
specific day. Even though we work independently, we still need to communicate with our team if
there is something that could be done more efficiently.
