The motivation intervention I am using is praise and recognition. It is a simple, effective

way to motivate performers. The performers should be recognized for their work and be given

positive feedback. Recognizing employees for their efforts will communicate that our performers

are valued and appreciated, and that their work doesn’t go unnoticed. Performers should be

reminded that their achievements are a vital contribution to the school’s mission statement.

Leaders who work closely with performers have the opportunity to recognize their team’s

accomplishments regularly. Employee recognition does not have to be a spectacular event. A

verbal praise can do wonders for an employee’s motivation. Providing positive feedback with

each accomplishment can help employees to understand which areas they’re performing well in

and what they can do to continue making an impact on our school’s success.

Any team member who’s in a position of leadership should think through a supportive

lens when communicating with employees and acknowledging their efforts. Employees whose

accomplishments are reinforced by their leaders’ praise and positive feedback will remain

motivated to continue progressing and achieving goals.

Motivation is the desire to act in service of a goal. It is the critical element in setting and

attaining our objectives. Motivation is one of the driving forces behind human behavior. It fuels

competition and sparks social connection. Its absence can lead to mental illnesses such as

depression. Motivation encompasses the desire to continue striving toward meaning, purpose,

and a life worth living. This motivational intervention will address the value problem. The

workplace values are the guiding principles that are most significant in the way that performers

work. Being accountable, focusing on detail, and delivering quality are all high quality values
