P2; Asses Own Knowledge, Skills, Practise, Values, Beliefs and Career Aspirations at
Start of Programme.

For this task in unit six, I will be being using an approach called the SAP to analysis. This
includes Strength, Areas for development and Plan for development, these all allow everyone
to analysis. I will be writing about what I think I am good at and what the strength re on this,
I will have to say what I need to improve on and how I will be doing that. I will also be
assessing my skills, practice and believed & aspirations.

Knowledge –

 In my opinion my strengths are Maths and ICT, as I got an A in maths and
a distinction in ICT at my GCSE’s and I feel these qualifications help me
extremely throughout life especially when I’m doing my work and
completing my BTEC health and social care. This allows me to find all the
information I need on the internet giving me a larger research section and
my maths allows me to work out calculations and the use of equations.
 I like to think I am able to help other pupils in my classes when they are
struggling or stuck on something. I like to give them a boost and point
S STRENGTH them in the right direction.
 I have good time management when it comes to my work, I don’t rush my
work which means I do not make mistakes such as spelling, and I also
make sure that I include everything that is needed in each section of my
work.
 I am very organised, meaning I get all my work in for the deadlines that are
set for me. I find I am set on getting my work completed and printed in
colour for the date it is needed whilst completing many different units.
 I did very well also in my sciences especially Biology and Physics, I got 2
B’s at GCSE. I would use this in my health and social work especially the
biology section

 I think I need improve communication during an everyday basis, due to
me working independantally in all my subjects as I do not use these skills.
However, I am able to get on with my work myself which allows mw to
work faster and complete more of the work in the short space of time I
have.
 I need to improve my confidence in my opinion, I am not able to ask for
help when I need it or ask for support from others due to feeling I am
A AREAS FOR doing it wrong. This makes me struggle and spend wasted time on trying to
DEVELOPEMT resolve it, making me behind on the tie schedule I should be on.
 I missed many pieces of work due to me taking up the BTEC health and
social in the second year, so I was a trying to do two years of work in one
year. This left me behind on many pieces of work and taking up a lot of my
spare time to try and catch up with it all. I had to try and catch up but as
well as trying to complete other subjects with the deadlines given to me
when I got given them, this may be partly why I rushed my work
 I could do better in my English, I got a C in GCSE which could be a much
better grade. I need to improve this due to my subjects needing
complicated words, it will be used in everyday life.

 I am planning to make myself a time table, so I am able to divide my time
equally between all my lessons. When I am at home, I need to be able to
