- Bonica (1960) zei dat we voor chronische pijn andere disciplines moesten inschakelen =
multidisciplinair.
- In 1994 kwam de definitie: ‘een sensoriële en emotionele ervaring gerelateerd aan

Dit gaf aanleiding tot een multidisciplinaire pijncentra.
