The goals/objectives for many companies and organizations usually will include profitability,
credibility, renewability, and quality customer service. With medical facilities, this is also the
same endgame. There is a need to motivate, educate, and improve (AHRQ, 2015-2018). To help
facilitate the improvement needed, the education of public and peers, and to motivate the
organization or business to move, is where the marketing plan will come inandwill put all of
these together and make the goals/objectives reachable for the organization or business.
Goals/Objectives
The goals and objectives of ECRH are to grow and renew its credibility with the population of
the counties it serves. It also will strive to increase profits, increase specialty markets (women’s
healthcare for one), and to decrease the loss of profitability from centers that just do not perform,
by closing them or consolidating them. Focus will be placed on specialty markets, ones that have
been established as desired by the population of the outlying areas within the counties through
the Faith & Main Consults (UOP, 2018). Women’s healthcare and the aging population, “baby
boomers” for instance, is a known area that can increase profits. Many of the women in the
expanded focus area are beginning their families at a later stage in life. Fertilization facilities are
a known area of greater profitability in women’s healthcare.
One area that shows a loss of profit is the Greenbranch Medical Center training facility for
residences (doctors, nurses, other staff) in handling burn patients (includes general and plastic
surgeons) (UOP, 2018). The idea is to end the service with Greenbranch and to open their own
burn center facility. Greenbranch Medical Center burn center also has surgeons that are aging
and getting ready to retire. Because this is a specialty area of surgery, finding new surgeons to
replace the ones leaving would be difficult, especially since the reputation of the general
