The patient had for over 25 years been a skydiving instructor. Each year he made more than 300-400 jumps. During a typical jump, a skydiver is subjected to forces around 3-5 times the force of gravity. However, this patient had been diving with a helmet camera that added a 1.5kg to his head.

In this exercise I am opening and closing a sliding glass door; something that I see as an activity of daily life. A few years ago, while trying to ride a bicycle around the world, I was involved in a bicycle vs bus accident. Amongst other things, both shoulders required surgery. Prior to surgery, this was an extremely difficult task to accomplish with my right arm.
