WWII or the Second World War was a global war fought between the allied powers: The Soviet Union, United Kingdom, the United States. And the axis powers: Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan. The war was destructive, and it ended in more civilians being killed than soldiers during the course of the war. Many crimes were committed such as the Holocaust and the Nanking massacre. By the time the war ended, an estimated of 70-85 million people were killed, most being civilians.
