Ik heb Emilia gekozen voor het interview, omdat zij de hoofdpersoon van het boek is.
Vraag 1: Kun je iets over jezelf vertellen?
Antwoord: Ik ben Emilia December de Wit. Ik ben veertien jaar oud en woon samen met mijn
vader en moeder.
Vraag 2: Vanwaar die achternaam?
Antwoord: Mijn vader heet eigenlijk de Wit, maar mijn moeder vond het mooi om bij mijn
achternaam nog December te zetten.
Vraag 3: Wie is Juno?
Antwoord: Juno is het meisje waarmee mijn vader nare dingen heeft gedaan. Mijn vader
heeft haar ook veel berichtjes gestuurd waarin hele rare dingen stonden.
Vraag 4: Waarom ben je gevlucht?
Antwoord: Ik ben gevlucht, omdat ik van mijn vieze vader weg wilde zijn. Ook omdat ik op
internet gepest werd met wat mijn vader allemaal had gedaan.
Vraag 5: Waarom New York?
Antwoord: New York is de stad waar ik al van kleins af aan van droom. Veel meisjes van mijn
leeftijd hebben posters van boybands in hun kamer, maar ik heb posters van New York.
Vraag 6: Wat voor werk doet je moeder?
Antwoord: Mijn moeder is kunstenaar en haar naam is Nora Quinn. Ze is best wel bekend in
de kunstwereld en is daarom bijna alleen maar bezig met haar schilderijen.
Vraag 7: Waarom ging je zomaar bij Jim slapen?
Antwoord: Ik was helemaal alleen midden in de nacht in New York. Ik moest een
onderkomen vinden en dit was mijn enige keuze.
