§ Vertakkende filemanteuze structuurn groei aan tip door extensie
• Filamenten met septa of zonder septa (coenocytisch)
• Vegetatieve of oppervlakkige hyphae
• Mycelium: massa van hypae

DIMORFISME
- Sommige fungi met gistmorfologie kunnen ook pseudohyphae-morfologie aannemen
