This question paper consists of eight (8) pages and one
annexure (pp 9–10).
Examination rules and instructions:
1. The use of The Invigilator app is compulsory in this
examination. Please scan the embedded QR code on the
examination paper download page or in the header of this
examination paper once you start with the examination.
2. You must upload your answer script as a single PDF file (the
answer script may not be password protected or uploaded as a
“read-only” file). The university only marks one submission
received from a student. Priority is granted to scripts received
via the myExams platform.
3. NO e-mailed scripts will or can be accepted.
4. You are advised to preview submission (answer script) to check
if it is legible and to make sure that the correct file has been
uploaded.
5. You are permitted to resubmit your answer script up to three
times and only during the official examination time.

6. If your answer script is in the wrong file format or uncollated, it
will not be considered for marking.
7. Any file other than the examination answer script that is
uploaded (e.g., the examination question paper instead of the
examination answer script) will not be marked, and no
opportunity will be granted for resubmission.
8. The mark that is awarded for an incomplete submission will be
your final mark. No opportunity will be granted for
resubmission.
9. The mark that is awarded for an illegible scanned submission
will be your final mark. No opportunity will be granted for
resubmission after the official examination time has lapsed.
10. Only the last answer file uploaded within the stipulated
submission period will be marked.
11. Submissions will be accepted from registered student accounts
only.
12. If you have not used the invigilation tool during the
examination, you will be deemed to have transgressed Unisa’s
examination rules and will have your marks withheld. If you are
found to have been outside The Invigilator app for a total of 10
minutes or more during your examination session, you will be
