MGG2601 Marriage Guidance and Counselling (MGG2601)

Carter and McGoldrick developed the family life cycle model. (McGoldrick M, 2011. The Expanded Family Life Cycle: Individual, Family, and Social Perspectives, 4th ed. Boston: Allyn and Bacon). This involves six stages which all families must go through. These are the unattached young adult, the newly married system, the family with adolescents, the launching and empty nest, and the family in later life
