- Students should respond to concept-check questions, in order to demonstrate their
understanding of newly learned vocabulary items in the appropriate context.
- Students should complete a reading comprehension exercise, in order to demonstrate

Objectives: - Students should use the new vocabulary they have learned as well as the knowledge of
the essential meaning(s) of the text that they have acquired, in an engaging,
communicative speaking exercise, in order to demonstrate linguistic comprehension
and ability/skill.
Length of Lesson: 60 mins - 1 x Laptop to play video.
- 1 x USB stick with backup video material, in case internet connection is down.
Number of Students: 18 - 5 x Black pens - 2 x pens for teacher (1 primary, 1 secondary), 3 x extra pens for
students who may not have.
- 1 x Notebook - for teacher.
- 5 x Blank A4 sized extra sheets of paper.
Materials:
- 4 x Whiteboard marker (felt) pens - 1 x black, 1 x green, 1 x red, 1 x blue.
Student Nationality & - 1 x Whiteboard eraser.
French
Mother Tongue: - 1 x Printed images for each image used in Stage 2 - Vocabulary pre-teaching.
- 20 x Printed Reading Text - 1 x text per student, 1 x text for teacher, 1 x text extra, in
case.
