Summary of the book The Little PrinceTO LEON WERTH
I apologize to the children for having dedicated this book to an older person. But I have
another excuse: this old person is able to understand everything, even children's
books. If all these reasons were not enough, then I want to dedicate this book to the
child that this elderly person was long ago.

My drawing number 1 was like this:
I showed my artwork to older people and asked them if my drawing scared them.
My drawing did not represent a hat. I then drew the inside of the boa snake so that
older people could understand. My drawing number 2 was like this:
Older people advised me to abandon drawing boas, whether open or closed, and put
more interest in geography, history, calculus, and grammar. Older people can never
understand something by themselves and it is very boring for children to have to give
them explanations over and over again.
I lived a lot with elderly people and I have known them very closely; but this has not
greatly improved my opinion of them.
When I have met someone who seemed a bit lucid to me, I have subjected him to the
experience of my number 1 drawing that I have always kept.

I lived like this, alone, with no one to really talk to, until six years ago when I had a
breakdown in the Sahara desert.
So imagine my surprise when I was woken up at dawn by a strange little voice that
said:
,-Paint me a lamb!
Older people discouraged me from my painting career at the age of six and I had
learned to draw nothing but closed boas and open boas.

My friend smiled sweetly, indulgently.
This is not a lamb, it is a ram. It has Horns… I redid my drawing again: it was rejected
just like the previous ones.
