imagery, personification, hyperbole, alliteration, and onomatopoeia.

Imagery is a key literary device used in "The Laughter Forecast" to create vivid
mental pictures and enhance the reader's sensory experience. The author employs
imagery when she describes "giggly patches" and "scattered outbreaks of chuckling."
These phrases allow readers to visualize small areas filled with laughter and laughter
spreading sporadically. By evoking tangible images related to laughter, Cowling
fosters an emotional connection with the readers, making the passage amusing and

Personification is another device effectively utilized in this passage to attribute
