ASSIGNMENT 6 (TOTB 140 Hour):
In this assignment you are required to teach English at a company (100).
Name: Fatima Mohamed
Date: 05 July 2023
Below is Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) Lesson plan for 3 days, the context of a Chinese debt
collection call/contact Centre.
Dates: 05, 06, and 07 July 2023
Title: A Chinese Debt Collection Call/ Contact Centre
Level: Intermediate
Materials: Youtube Videos, Flashcards, Phonetics, Script work
Duration: 8 Hours Full working day excluding Lunch and Tea breaks
Class size: 20 Students
Objectives: To get their employees to speak to English speaking clients in English. By the end of the
lesson, learners will be better able to use vocabulary for Debt Collection to ask, answer questions and
handle objections about debt collection, e.g. ‘I am calling with regards to your payday loan.?’ ‘Sorry, I
got busy and forgot to pay.”
Assumptions: Students have generally enough knowledge of the language. Money is something we use
almost every day. Learning vocabulary about debt/loans will enable students to better assist clients in
English.
Anticipated Problems: Learners may cancel at the last minute because of unforeseen problems: perhaps
an important call has come in, or their train is delayed. Some of the students may be paying for the
classes themselves, whilst others will be sent by their company. Students who pay for their own classes
tend to be more interested and motivated. For students sent by their employer, it is possible that they
could see this as time off work. The numbers of people attending class
Solutions: A cancellation policy with the company in advance for example, ask them to make sure they
inform you 24 or 48 hours in advance. It’s not unusual to prepare for a group of six to eight people and
have only one person show up. Try and create activities that will work on a one-to-one basis
