the number-word sequence. It involves knowing the order in which
numbers are counted and being able to recite them in the correct
sequence consistently. This knowledge is crucial for counting
accurately and consistently across different counting situations
(Gelman & Gallistel, 1978). For example, knowing that "one" comes
before "two" and "two" comes before "three" allows learners to
generalize the number-word sequence and effectively count
objects or events in various contexts.
