DIFFERENT PARAGRAPHS TO TAKE IDEAS FROMThe Dwelling of the Future
The first rotating house in the world and one of the Cultural Heritages of
Córdoba is worth visiting for three main reasons. First, this six metre house is
located in a steep area in the city centre of Córdoba. Therefore, the house has
a panoramic view of the city where museums, parks and important buildings
such as “El paseo buen pastor” can be seen. The hills of Córdoba can also be
seen from the house too. Second, it was built by Abdón Sahade, a self-
educated Syrian inmigrant who was a very talented engineer. He turned the
house into a tourist attraction. Thus, people can experience how it would be like
to live in a house that rotates without dwellers even noticed. Third, this one
hundred and forty tons house was made with traditional materials such as
cement, metals and railways wheels. Its unique circular estructure makes the
house rotate three hundred and sixty grades in about fifty minutes. The reason
for this construction was that the owner wanted to have sunlight during all day
long. To conclude, seeing this unusual house is worth visiting for its location,
historty and architecture.
A New Home
Refurbishing a run down house has three main advantages. Firstly,
buying a dilapidated house can be cheap. In fact, dwellers of delerict houses
save up a lot of money since the seller wants to get rid of the property. Besides,
the moeny is not needed straight away so it gives time to the future homeowner
to put aside money to start from scratch making over their new home. Secondly,
fixing a neglected house gives the owner the chance to develop new skilss.
While doing up a house, the walls need painting and the switches need
changing just to name a few, so the owners are virtually building their home. It
gives them the chance to build it to their own taste, having the oportunity to
choose materials and thinking of the design and style of the house. Thirdly,
doing up a house gives a sense of fullfilment. The proud owner of the house
creates memories, have a good time and feel pleased of the hard work. This
makes the owner aware of the effort and time spent on it. To sum up, fixing a
, house in bad condition can be beneficial in terms of money, teaming and
personal achievments.
The Disadvantages of the Countryside
Living in the countryside has three main disadvantages. Firstly, moving to
a rural area implies spending more time travelling. For example, commuting
involves getting up earlier to get to work on time. Moreover, students also have
to take the bus earlier to not fall behind with classes. Besides, the time spend
when travelling from work or classes to home can increase during the rushing
hours leading this to people getting stress and upstet. Secondly, living in the
countryside is expensive. For example, more money is spent for the car
maintenance and petrol. Also, taking care of the property is expensive, too. The
houses are bigger so more housewares are needed to keep it clean and well
preserved. Thirdly, moving far from the city can be boring. For instance, starting
a new sport can be difficult because there are not many options and, in general
there is only one sports centre in the rural areas. Moreover, on weekends there
is not much to do in town since cinemas and restaurants are usually in the
cities. In conclusión, living in the countryside is disadvantageous in terms of
time, money and entertainment.
The Advantages of Savvy Savers
Working hard to be a savvy saver has three main advantages. Firstly,
people who are expert on saving make ends meet. In fact, savvy savers do not
buy things they cannot afford and they make a few cuts every month. For
example, one way to make ends meet is cutting down on the amount of
television seen and turning off the lights everytime a room is left. Also, savvy
savers advice avoiding dining out. In fact, inviting friends to stay in is a better
option. Secondly, savvy savers have the ability to haggle over the price. They
manage to get products for far les than the original price. For instance, when
savvy savers go to the street market, they know exactly how to talk down the
price with the street vendor. Thirdly, people expert on saving have a sense of
fullfilment. Savvy savers are never in debt because they get by on what they
have. Moreover, they have the ability to spend their money wisely. In fact, they
are less stress knowing that they have saved for a rainy day. In conclusión,
