Answer all questions in English.
Number your answers in accordance with the examination paper.

If you write your answers, please write neatly and legibly.
Handwritten paper-based answer sheets must be scanned and converted to a single
PDF document. Ensure that you scan your pages in the correct order.

Additional student instructions
1. Upload your answer script as a single PDF file. (Your answer script must be neither
password protected nor uploaded as a read-only file.)
2. Answer scripts in the incorrect file format and uncollated answer scripts will not be
considered.
3. No e-mailed scripts will be accepted.
4. Review your answer script to ensure that it is legible and that you upload the correct
answer script file.
5. Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions made on unofficial examinations platforms
(such as the invigilator cellphone application) will not be marked, and no opportunity will
be granted for resubmission.
6. The mark awarded for your incomplete submission will be your final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
7. The mark awarded for an illegible answer script will be your final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
8. Only submissions from registered student accounts will be accepted.
9. Students who have not utilised invigilation or proctoring tools will be subjected to
disciplinary processes.
10. If you are suspected of dishonest conduct during the examinations, you will be subjected
to disciplinary processes. UNISA has zero tolerance for plagiarism or any other form of
academic dishonesty.
11. You have 30 minutes after the official examination time to submit your answer script.
Submissions made after the official examination time will be rejected in terms of the
examination regulations. They will not be marked.
12. Students who experience network or load shedding challenges are advised to apply,
together with supporting evidence, for an aegrotat within three days of the examination
session.
13. If you experience technical challenges, contact the SCSC at 080 000 1870 or e-mail
Examenquiries@unisa.ac.za or refer to the URL link for the list of additional contact
numbers.
14. You may also e-mail your module lecturer. ONLY communication from your myLife
account will be considered.
Invigilator app instructions
Please log in to the Invigilator app. You need to be connected to the internet to log in
and scan the QR code.
Scan the QR code above when the examination has formally commenced. If you have
trouble with scanning the QR code, you can also enter the QR access code at the
bottom of the QR code to do the assessment.
Once the QR code has been scanned, put your smartphone next to you. The Invigilator
App will notify you when an action is required. Ensure that your media volume is turned
up.
If you only have one device, you may access MyExams in the application by clicking on
the “Access LMS” button.
Please remember to keep your smartphone on charge for the duration of the
assessment.
Keep the Invigilator App open on your cellphone during the assessment.
Do not leave or minimise the application.
When an action is required, a notification beep will be heard. Action the request.
Please ensure you are connected to the internet to start and finish the examination. No
internet connection is needed during the assessment.
First upload your script to MyExams. Because the uploading of app data is not time
sensitive, you can do it after you have uploaded your script to MyExams.
You must adhere to the time limit in MyExams assessment because the invigilation time
in the app could exceed the time in which you have to complete your assessment.
Click the "Finish Assessment" button in the app if you finish early.
