forward supervision of assessment requirements and development.
2. The National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) provides
knowledge and skills to students in the country. It makes sure that knowledge and
skills are applied to learners so that they are beneficial to them. Its determination
is to equip all learners with the knowledge and skills despite their sex, background
or what they can do physically. The CAPS document consists of principles, social
transformation, active and critical learning, high knowledge and skills, progression,
valuing indigenous systems, credibility, quality, and efficiency. The CAPS
document focuses on producing smart learners that will pass all their subject and
be able to solve problems in their next grades.
