### 1.2 In your opinion, mention FOUR ways in which violence has
negatively impacted some schools in South Africa. (150 words)
Violence in South African schools has far-reaching negative effects.

leading to increased anxiety and fear, which can impede learning.
Secondly, a culture of violence can lead to diminished academic
performance, as students may prioritize survival over education.
Thirdly, incidents of violence can result in disciplinary measures such as
expulsions and suspensions, which further disrupt students’
educational trajectories. Lastly, violence erodes community trust in
schools, making parents hesitant to engage with educational
institutions, thereby weakening the support network essential for
fostering a positive learning environment. These impacts not only affect
immediate stakeholders but can also contribute to broader societal
issues, perpetuating cycles of violence and disadvantage.
