There are many ways in which media can be used in campaigns for change. This could
include: blogs social networking, viral messaging,



A blog is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small
group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. There are lots of advantages of
blogs; For example, the opportunity to share them with other social media sites or by email.
This ensures that more people are likely to read it, which eventually contributes to the
campaign raising more awareness. They are also free to see, meaning that everyone with
internet access can read it, which caters to a broader audience. There are a range of
benefits to blogs being used in campaigns. It also can benefit from Search engine
optimisation – this Gets it more awareness. When a campaign creates blog posts
consistently, they are constantly providing Google, Bing, Yahoo and the others with fresh
content to show up on search results using the keywords such as knife crime in the youth.
This is also an opportunity for campaigns to insert those relevant keywords that viewers will
use to search for the types of change that’s being promoted. With an online campaign you
save money on printing, paper and canvassing staff. It could hypothetically reach more
people and cost less money. People are also more likely to view an online blog than a
physical leaflet. However, poorly written content can reflect badly on your brand. Therefore,
some thought, time and effort is needed and ensure your work has been edited and
