1 Read the extract from a website about what to visit in São Paulo, one of the biggest
cities in Brazil.



São Paulo é enorme. Os turistas, quando chegam, sentem-se perdidos. Têm pouco
tempo e, muitas vezes, pouco dinheiro para gastar, por isso têm de pensar bem.

A cidade é tão grande que há sempre coisas novas a acontecer. Não deve deixar
de visitar a Avenida Paulista, a principal rua da cidade. Passar tempo lá é a melhor
maneira de compreender as pessoas da cidade.

Depois, a nível cultural, tem o MASP, além dos outros museus que frequentemente

Sou Tavares, porque o pai da minha mãe, que morreu há 7 anos, se chamava Eugénio
Tavares.

Acabei de fazer anos a dezasseis de janeiro. Toda a gente sabe o trabalho que dão as
festas. É uma coisa que levamos semanas até voltar ao normal. Há milhares de pessoas
por este mundo a fazer anos no mesmo dia.

A festa não teve nada de especial. Vieram as pessoas de sempre: a família e mais
a Vanessa, que é a minha melhor amiga; a Rosário e a Clarisse, que são as minhas
melhores amigas quando a Vanessa está de férias.
