1.1 Yes I do agree with the statement of ICT easing the load. The ICT tools include:
a) Computers
-software programs reduce the burden of the teacher completely as the teacher will
not have to write the notes on the chalkboard only will plan them in the computer
and projects them to the whiteboard and learners will then copy or use laptops for
their studies.Computers are eco-friendly in that they eliminate the paper usage and
instead of the teacher spending most of the time distributing papers to the learners
they only use computers to answer or write tests or assignments on the
computer.Learning management systems in computers allows the learners to send a
comment on a specific time and the teacher will be notified rather waiting for the
lesson time when the teacher will be overloaded with work and cannot attend to all
learners at that particular time.
b) cellphones
-The teacher will just post the homework and assignments on the whatsapp groups
and kids will discuss and research on their own at their own spare time at home.In
case of an emergency with the learner at the school the teacher will only call the
parent to come to the school rather than the teacher taking the learner to his or her
home leaving the work unattended.
