An Inspector calls Timeline:
Act 1

• -The Birlings are celebrating the engagement with a dinner with Arthur pleased for future
profits
• When women leave room Arthur lectures them(g&e) with how man needs to be selfish
• Doorbell rings and inspector arrives via Edna.He announces of the investigation
• Mr billing shown a picture +remembers firing her in 1910 then goes to sheila
• Revealing of her name to Eva to Daisy and now Gerald seems shocked+reveals to Sheila of
affair

Act 2

• Gerald reveals to inspector affair from 1911 so sheila return ring
• Sybil billing confesses her guilt in the charity where she refuses to help her as pregnant and
naming herself Mrs Birling

Act 3

• Eric revealed as father+stole money+angry
• Inspector blames all of them +consequences so then leaves
• No suicide report (as they called infirmary)so capitalists continue as before
• Phone rings-girl died so inspector would come
