- Gebruiken inhibiting systemms om te calculeren hoe perform kind of behavior en in wat sytuation
- Obv. Motor behavior, emotional behavior & cognitive

àkunnen het niet meer controleren in functie van een situatie

CASE – FRONTAL LOBE
Consult ♂+♀ kijken naar gedrag ♀ zien date er iets mis is
- Hoe bewegen?
Zeer rusteloos àkan niet alle motor acties controleren
- Hoe cognitief denken? Bewust van wat er gaande is?
Niet bewust van wat er gaande is
Heeft CVA in frontal lobes door hartproblemen
Vraagt steeds of ze naar huis kan maar dat kan niet
- Hoe emotioneel gedrag?
Kan emoties niet goed controleren
Lachen <->wenen
2 dimensions are controlled by the prefrontal cortex

What do we see in this patient?
- Lack of control of emotions and insight in her problems
- At motor level we see that she is very restless
- She is stimulus bounded when she hears/sees a stimulus she cannot inhibit a reaction
Ex. When they talk about her hart, she looks in her blouse at her hart -> takes it very seriously

o ->honden gaan wel stimulus respons reageren tenzij zeer hard getraind
Deze P gaat ook stimulus respons reageren
vb: hand man en kussen, stimulus hart horen en gaat kijken naar hart
Indien iets mis in een andere regio hersenen (post, cerebelum, thalamus,basale ganglia,brainstem) gaat
het de functie van de frontae lobe ook beïnvloeden doordat deze ermee in connectie staan
Alle P met problemen in deze regio’s gaan ze steeds een fout in 1 van de 3 maneren van gedrag vertonen
àkunnen niet controleren bew,denken,emoties
Veel variabiliteit in gedrag= iets mis in behavioral control functies= frontal lobe problems

1/3 van brein v/d cortex betrokken in behavioural control
Premotor cortex = secondary motor cortex
Orbitofrontal cortex is also important for behaviour
Anterior part of the limbic system is also involved in the control
-> control of emotions
Frontal lobes always need assistance of the other structures
Information from the other lobes goes to the frontal lobe to process this information
Frontal cortex is helped by 3 subcortical systems: limbic, striatal and cerebellum
Striatal is very important to understand what is going on in behaviour
