→ Door intensiteit op μA niveau verwaarloosbaar huidverbrandingsrisico
Bifasisch:
1. Lage huidbelasting → zelfs bij hoog mA niveau van TENS stroom
= door afwezigheid van galvanische component
2. Aanbevolen bij MET wanneer er geen duidelijke pijnlijke plek kan worden
gedefinieerd
3. PRO: voordeel voor langere behandelingen
CON: mA-stromen hebben waarschijnlijk maar heel weinig lokaal effect
