Certificates of deposit Certificaat van Short- or medium-term, interest-paying debt instruments
(CDs) storting (written promises to repay a debt).
Time deposits Aanbetaling A.k.a. CDs. Known as time deposits because the holder agrees to
lend the money (by buying the certificate) for a specified amount
of time. (See unit 27)
Repurchase agreement Heraankoop A combination of two transactions. The dealer hopes to find a
(repo) overeenkomst long-term buyer for the securities before repurchasing them.

lend money without interest. This is purely to cover its expenses.
