Wat is een blaasretentie?
Wat is een blaasretentie?
Bij een blaasretentie is er een ophoping van urine in de blaas omdat met niet meer kan plen of slecht kleine beetjes plast. Er kan sprake zijn van acute retentie of chronische retentie.
Acuut -> plotseling onmogelijkheid om te plen. Gaat gepaard met pijn omdat de blaaswand uitrekt.
Chronisch -> ontstaat geleidelijk. De blaas wordt niet voldoende leeg geplast omdat de blapier niet sterk genoeg is. Niet pijnlijk omdat de vulling van de blaas geleidelijk gaat.
