-ijzerhoudende voeding: meer brood (volgens schijf van 5), ADH ijzer is gelijk ookal is er geen menstruatie
-geen alcohol: alcohol verhoogt de kans op foetaal alcoholsyndroom (FAS)
-geen drugs: verhoogt risico op te vroeggeboren baby's, een baby's met een te laag geboortegewicht en het kind kan geboren worden met een verslaving
-niet roken: verhoogt risico op miskramen, te vroeg geboren baby's & baby's met een laag geboortegewicht
-vitamine D suppletie?

Oplossingen: vezelrijke voeding, voldoende vocht, voldoende beweging, geen laxeermiddelen (anders krijg je diarree)
