PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ANSWERING
THE EXAMINATION QUESTIONS.
1. This is an invigilated examination using “The Invigilator” application. You are required
to activate (or log in to) the Invigilator app between 07:45am and 08:30 am (South
African Standard Time).

1.1 Students who have not utilised invigilation or
proctoring tools will be deemed to have
transgressed Unisa’s examination rules and will
have their marks withheld.
1.2 You only have 10 minutes after the due time to
submit your script on the Invigilator App (12:10)
1.3 Students have 48 hours from the day of their
examination to upload their invigilator results from the
Invigilator App. Failure to do so will result in students
deemed not have utilised invigilation or proctoring tools
,2. Unless a student is exempted because of disability or incarceration, students who have
not utilised invigilation or proctoring tools will be deemed to have transgressed Unisa’s
examination rules and will have their marks withheld.
3. The examination question paper counts 100 marks.
4. It consists of 4 (four) questions. Answer ALL of the questions.
5. The duration of the examination is 4 hours. Your answers must be submitted via
myExams on 31 October 2023 on or before 12:30 (Central African Time).
6. This is an open-book examination. You may consult your prescribed study material
during the examination.
7. Your exam file must be submitted online on the myExams platform.
NOTE: The time on the myExams platform corresponds with your exam timetable. You have
an extra 30 min after that to upload (even if the “time remaining” has run out). In other
words, you will still be able to upload your script till 12:30 regardless of the “late
submission” notice.
7.1 When ready to submit, open the Take-Home (Assignment) assessment again and
click on the Add Submission button. Note: You only get 10 minutes after the
due time to submit your script on the Invigilator App (12:10) and 30 minutes
on the myExams portal (12:30)
7.2 Access myExams at https://claw.myexams.unisa.ac.za and login using your
student number and myUnisa password.
7.3 Go to the LEG2601 examination: once you are on the myExams platform, click
on the “myExams” dropdown menu and navigate to the LEG2601 page.
7.4 Once the site has loaded, select the “LEG2601 - Exam Oct/Nov 2023” folder
under the Welcome Message.
7.5 Click on “Add submission”
, 7.6 Check the acknowledgement checkbox and upload your answer document and
then click on the “Save changes” button.
7.7 Review your submission information regarding the status and click on your
submission file link to check if it is correct.
7.8 If you need to resubmit a file, you can click on the Edit Submission button. Do
not click on the Remove submission button. Note: You will need to delete any
existing files by clicking on the file and then on delete.
7.9 Add your student number and the module code in the file name. That will assist
you to select the correct document to upload during submission.
7.10 You are advised to preview your submission (answer scripts) to ensure legibility
and that the correct answer script has been uploaded.
8. If you are struggling to submit your exam file during the currency of your examination,
email me at petera@unisa.ac.za immediately from your mylife email account. The
contingency link will be emailed to you (as an automatic ‘out of office’ reply). Please read
and follow the instructions sent carefully.
