a. The company should discover business benefits it will gain through
the project
b. The project team should be assembled and prepared to undertake the

-Determine what is in scope for the client's SAP system, which
business processes will be implemented in S/4 and which will not.
-Customer familiarizes with benefits of SAP HANA AND SAP S/4 HANA,
completes scope questionnaire (i.e. sales team, procurement team,
production team) to define which business functions will be performed
in SAP - Sales, Procurement, Production, Finance (if not in SAP, then
what system will be used?).
-Deliverables: Timeline, Budget and Scope Enter in Jira.
Prepare Phase
-SAP Project Manager (PwC), SAP Team, PMO team.
-Initial planning and preparation.

5. Deliverables: Project Questionnaire to gauge mindset - Project

is training for the project team necessary?
Explore Phase

1. A deep dive into all business processes that will be implemented
in SAP.
2. Project Structure.
3. Project Rules: How do we raise risk? When do we report?
4. Deliverables: Functional consultant with business hold fit to
standard workshops to obtain the information.

Blue-printing
- Performed during Explore phase -How clients run processes now and
in the future. "As-is" vs "To-be."
- Change impact analysis and change impact heat map.

Realize Phase

- Build and test an integrated business and system environment, data
is loaded, adoption activities occur, and operations are planned.
- Ensure system is built in accordance with blue-print.

- Shift in timelines may occur. Delays or budget issues may fall on
either business or PwC/SAP depending on root cause (PMO keeps notes
updated on why something is late).

a. Security Consultant: Database security/GUI, assigns security roles,
reports on security activities status. Web security/Fiori.
b. Configuration Consultant: Turns functionality on/off on fields
(required/optional/hidden)
c. Programmer or Tech Consultant: Creates new programs for existing
SAP programs
d. Training Consultant: Do we have what we need for training? System
ready? Who needs training? How many courses? How many sessions?

Run Phase
- Establish a safe and efficient operation of the newly created
solution. Business is using the system.
