Anne Frank () - Dutch-Jewish girl who, with other Jews, hid from the Nazis from 1942 to 1944; kept a diary of her family's life in hiding after the Nazis overran the Netherlands. She was later found and sent to a concentration camp where she died. Robert Frost () - American poet known for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech; frequently wrote about settings from rural life in New England in the early twentieth century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical themes.
