A. MAIN INSTRUCTIONS
1. You MUST peruse all your learning resources BEFORE attempting this
assignment.
2. Read the recommended documents below in conjunction with the
recommended book and TL501 presented before answering the questions.
3. The assignment consists of 2 long questions. Answer all the questions.
4. The technical presentation of your assignment is of the utmost importance. This
aspect of your work contributes 10% of your assignment mark. See the
instructions on technical presentation in Section B below.
B. ASSIGNMENT FORMAT
1. You must adhere to the general rules related to the overall presentation of the
assignment.
2. Your presentation should not contain language, spelling typing errors or personal
types of address (UNLESS otherwise stated).
3. Present headings and numbering (where required) in the correct format.
4. You must adhere to the CORRECT format, structure, and stylistic requirements
of each piece of writing, as required by the relevant assignment question. If you
fail to follow these guidelines, you will lose marks.
5. The assignment must contain a personal declaration that the work you have
submitted is your own. If you DO NOT submit the declaration, or if it is
incomplete or not signed, you will receive 0% for your assignment.
6. The declaration has to be signed by yourself and a witness. It is a legally binding
document. As Unisa is a distance education institution, you must submit your
work online. Therefore, we accept typed signatures and e-signatures if you do not
have access to a scanner.
7. Any declaration that is not attached, that is incorrectly worded, or is
unsigned by yourself and/or a witness will automatically receive 0%.
However, in keeping with Unisa’s Tuition and Learning Policy, you will
receive feedback.
8. This declaration and all the documents it refers to will be available on myUnisa, at
the beginning of each academic semester.
9. The declaration will be available on myUnisa to download as a PDF or in MS
Word. You can fill it in accordingly and submit it with each assignment/portfolio
and non-venue examination portfolio. We have also provided a copy of the
declaration on the next page. NO OTHER DECLARATION IS ACCEPTED.
