The country I will be talking about will be Germany. Many countries have different

laws based on their religion and belief system. The Civil Legal system has been colonized in

Germany. In Germany, the influence of colonization has influenced Germany’s legal system.

“While the French and the English instituted policies that spread their languages and culture,

Germany restricted use of German to a small number of elite colonial subjects. Germany did

not actually profit from colonialism, since the expenses incurred in administration were

greater than revenues generated.” (German, 2021).

Legal
System

Germany has a traditional civil law system. “Civil Law, in contrast, is codified.

Countries with civil law systems have comprehensive, continuously updated legal codes that

specify all matters capable of being brought before a court, the applicable procedure, and the

appropriate punishment for each offense.” (Berkeley, 2021). Germany has a civil law code.

Civil law code includes A General Part, The Law of Obligations, The Property Law, The

Family Law, and The Succession Law. Propensity of entrepreneurship is a specific tendency

that an individual’s belief to being self-employed. The rule of law in Germany supports the

main purpose of equality for the citizens than the law itself. These correlate together because

Citizens of Germany have their own rights which is very known for in the legal system in

Germany.

, Market

If I were an entrepreneur in Germany, I would do the following when performing a

market screening and environmental analysis for a product that meets a need in Germany.

The product I think that would do great in Germany would be an all-natural dog food

brand. First, I


would identify the basic appeal. I would see why we would need an all-natural dog food in

Germany and how I could sell it to the people of Germany. Second, I would assess the

national business environment. I would do this by seeing how all-natural dog food could fit

into our culture and if not, how I can convince the buyers to fit this into our culture. Third, I

would measure market or site potential. I would do this by seeing how I would make this dog

food profitable by doing surveys and looking at how this product sold in other countries.

Finally, I would pick out the market or site on where and when I would start to sell this all-

natural dog food. I would do research on certain cities in Germany and see where our product

best fits. With the product being an all-natural dog food, the price is going to be more

expensive. With that being said, I would want to put up marketing for my product in more

well of areas versus low- income areas. According to the article "The German cities where

you earn the most (and the least)", 2021, Munich has the highest average income in Germany

and Duisberg has one of the lowest. When conducting my research this will show me that I

need to market in Munich more than Duisberg because the chance that I will make more

money in Munich is much greater.

International Market

The three international market entry methods for the all-natural dog food in Germany

would be exporting, licensing, and joint venturing. “Exporting is the direct sale of goods

and/or services in another country” ("How to enter a foreign market | Workspace", 2021).
