TEACHING STATEMENT
I want to be a teacher who
is very skillful and is able
to build relationships with
her learners based on trust
and mutual respect. I also
want to be able to set the
tone for a classroom
community. I want to enjoy
having conversations with
my learners on subjects and
issues that they deem to be
important. I also want to
learn about how they’re
feeling and experiencing
the world as well as the
material they get in class.
However, I want my class to feel

more like a community than a
classroom. This environment will
be one where we all share ideas,
communicate and learn from one
another. This is one of the reasons
ASSIGNMENT 50 2023 why I decided to teach the senior
and FET phase learners.
