Different businesses
There are many different types of businesses that you come across as a customer or
employee or that you hear about in news stories. The types of businesses are: local,
national, international, global, profit and non-profit and public and private businesses.
Local business
A local business is a business that is set up in your own town.
National business
A national business is a business that is set up in the hole country.
International business
An international business is set up in more than one country. That can grow to an company
who sells their product all over the world.
Public business
Public sector businesses are those that have set up or taken by the government.
Private business
Private businesses are owned by private citizens. In many countries, the majority of
businesses are owned by private individuals. A big individual business is Vodafone.
Profit business
Profit businesses want to make as much money as they can.
Non-profit business
Non-profit businesses are there to do something for the people, there goal is not making
money.
