Negotiating Policy

In recent times Sim City has been coping with different issues and they are increasing
such as the rates of crime, violence and drug use. These issues are also very troublesome
for the hospitality as the nightlife is one of the most common occasions where drugs are
used. Therefore it is the Association of Local Hospitality Managers responsibility to
ensure that the increasing drug use rates decrease. This will be achieved with a few
preventive measures against the use of drugs. To approach these issues in an
appropriate way the hospital managers have come up with the following measures:
Make it mandatory for all employees working in the hospitality industry to know how to
deal with the problems which may be caused by drugs, body search everyone who wants
to enter the building and cooperation with the police.

Sim City has to cope with a lot of drug problems recently. Increased rates of violence and
crime, increased drug use (especially among teenagers) and public health issues. The
use of drugs in the nightlife is very common and more and more people are getting
addicted to hard drugs. It seems to be hard having a nice night out without any drugs
involved. Sim City has a softer drug policy in contrary with the neighboring countries.
The neighboring countries are considerably stricter than Sim City. In Sim City it is
allowed to buy soft drug like cannabis (less than 5 grams). Also the alcohol consumption
age limit is only 16, which is very low in contrast to other countries. The problems which
have occurred in Sim City might be a result of the soft policies.
The Association of Local Hospitality Managers represents the majority of pub and club
owners and managers. The Hospitality Managers also represent the organizations who
organize music and dance events in Sim City. These organizations have serious interest
in the local drug policy because of the drug abuse among teenagers and the aggressive
effect drugs have on people. The association wants to create a safer nightlife area, it
needs to be a place where everybody can go out and have fun without these certain
circumstances. The Hospitality Managers of Sim City are concerned about the drug
problems that have appeared in the nightlife of Sim City especially among teenagers.
