A novel approach to automate test data generation for data flow testing based on hybrid adaptive PSO-GA algorithm
Software testing is one of the main activities of software development life cycle (SDLC).
More than 50% of the total cost of the project is consumed in software testing phase of
SDLC (Beizer, 1990). The main aim of software testing is to produce better quality and
reliable software. Broadly, software testing is of two types, white box testing and black
box testing. Among the two test approaches towards software testing, white box testing is
the preferred one owing to its ability to rec...

Image Processing for mHealth-Based Approach to Detect the Local Tissue Inflammation in Cutaneous Leishmaniasis: A Proof of Concept Study
Interdisciplinary approaches are becoming increasingly popular in the health sector, specially to improve the diagnosis
and management of various diseases [1–4]. Variety of
methods of image processing and analyses are available for
extracting valuable information from raw images taken from
cameras [5]. With the advent of mobile phones, the concept
of mobile health or mHealth emerged and it could be
broadly described as a medical and public health practice

Where Should I Go? A Deep Learning Approach To Personalize Type-based Facet Ranking for POI Suggestion
1 Introduction
The problem of Point-of-Interest (POI) suggestion has gained lot of research
attention recently due to the spread of Location Based Social Networks (LBSN).
The problem is concerned with recommending interesting places for the users to
visit. POI suggestion algorithms personalize the recommendations according to
the current user’s context as well as the recorded user’s history.
2 E. Ali et al.
In this research, we solve the POI suggestion problem in the context of
Facet...

The Learning for Living Project 2000 – 2004: A book-based approach to the learning of language in South African primary schools
The Learning for Living Project (LFL) was designed and operated over a five
year period between 2000 and 2004 by the READ Educational Trust in all nine
provinces. In total, 957 primary schools participated in the LFL with 13 164
teachers and an estimated 875 000 learners. The project received R153 million
in funding from the Business Trust (BT) and was implemented with the support
and cooperation of the National and Provincial Departments of Education
(DoE).

Renewing the Theory of Public Interest
What is the meaning we ascribe to the expression ‘reflexive governance’, thereby
defining the conditions a collective action must fulfil in order to ensure, to the extent
possible, that satisfaction of its members’ normative expectations is ‘maximised’; that
is, in order to ensure what is generally called ‘governance in the public interest’? The
expression ‘reflexive governance’ can only be understood if we first recall the project
that has underpinned REFGOV.1

Examining the validity of an analytic rating scale for a Spanish test for academic purposes using the argument-based approach to validation
Students wishing to study at a university where the medium of instruction is different from their mother tongue are often required
to prove their proficiency by taking a language test for academic purposes. These tests are considered high-stakes because results are
used to make decisions that have important consequences in students’ lives (Bachman & Palmer, 2010; Kane, 2013). In order to
guarantee that scores are fair, language tests must be carefully scrutinized and validated to ensure tha...

H.761 Support of a New <concept> Element and a New "recognition" Node-Event to Enable Deep Learning-based Analyses for Media-Nodes
Machine Learning field, methods based on Deep Learning (e.g. CNN,
RNN) becomes the state-of-the-art in several problems of the multimedia domain, especially in audio-visual tasks. Typically, the
training of Deep Learning Methods is done in a supervised manner,
and it is trained on datasets containing thousands/millions of media
examples and several related concepts/classes. During training, the
Deep Learning Methods learn a hierarchy of filters that are applied

Action Learning: a practice-based approach for leveraging entrepreneurs’ potential, which aim to launch startups in sustainable developmen
Action learning has been underpinning an increasing amount of training practice throughout
the world for nearly seven decades, since its genesis in the work of Reg Revans (ZuberSkerritt, 2002). Furthermore, action learning has been related to variety of disciplines. These
application’s environments have ranged from private companies (Marquardt, 2004) to public
sector organizations (Blackler and Kennedy, 2004) and in lesser extent to entrepreneurship
development programs, such as start...

A Meta-Learning Approach to Select Meta-Heuristics for the Traveling Salesman Problem Using MLP-Based Label Ranking
The Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a classic optimization problem, which
is formally defined by means of a weighted graph G = (V,E), in which V = {v1,
v2, ..., vn} is a set of vertices and E = {vi
, vj : vi
,vj ∈ V } is a set of edges. Each
vertex vi ∈ V represents a city and each edge vi
, vj ∈ E connects the vertices
vi and vj . The cost of travel from vi to vj is given by the weight value of the
edge vi
, vj . The best solution for a TSP instance involves finding th...

Δ-machine learning for potential energy surfaces: A PIP approach to bring a DFT-based PES to CCSD(T) level of theory Cite as: J. Chem. Phys. 154, 051102 (2021); doi: 10.1063/5.003830
Correcting ab initio-based potential energy surfaces (PESs)
has been a long-standing goal of computational chemistry. Several approaches dating from 30 years ago have been suggested.
In one, a correction potential is added to an existing PES, and
parameters of the correction potential are optimized by matching
ro-vibrational energies to the experiment.1–3 This approach relies
on being able to calculate exact rovibrational energies to make the
comparison with the experiment robust. Thus,...
