Intro to Social Cognition.
Social cognition is a term used in psychology that states that people can learn new skills and behaviors simply by observing and imitating others. The theory mainly applies to children but can also be used to explain adult learning. An example of social cognition is the Bobo Doll experiment. The experiment was conducted by Bandura in the 1960s and proved that children who observed adults being aggressive toward a doll were more likely to display the same behavior.
