This report detail a high level design undertaken for a mix of renewable resources site of an assumed area of 750km2 in the Eastern Cape with a ground flash density of 10 flashes/ km2/year in a sandy and loose soil with average resistivity of 1225Ωm which was found to cause mild corrosion effect on conductors.
