Licensed Dental Assistant - Person licensed pursuant to section 150A.06 Resident Dentist - Person who is licensed to practice dentistry as an enrolled graduate student or student of an advanced education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation State - When used in reference to a state other than Minnesota, means any other state of the United States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth or Puerto Rico Who appoints the Board of Dentistry members? - By the governor of the state. PG 2 What type of members make up the Board of Dentistry? - 5 - Qualified residents Dentists 1 - Qualified Dental Hygienist 1 - Qualified Dental Assistant PG 2 What type of officers that reside on the Board of Dentistry? - President Vice President Secretary PG 3 Can dentist administer influenza immunization? - Yes A person licensed to practice dentistry under sections 150A.01 to 150A.14 shall be deemed to be practicing dentistry while participating in the administration of an influenza vaccination PG 6 Patient must be 19 years or older to get influenza immunization BUT what other qualifications are there for dentist to administer influenza immunization to patients? - -Have immediate access to emergency response to equipment -Trained in or have successfully completed a program approved by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
