LU 1 - Answer- Big Picture: Front Mu Point of the Lung
CAM: Latero superior to the sternum, 1 cun below LU2 Yunmen, at the level of the
first intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Deadman: on the lateral aspect of the chest, in the first intercostal space, 6 cun
lateral to the midline, 1 cun inferior to Yunmen LU2.
Function: disseminates and descends LU Qi and alleviates cough and wheezing,
transforms Phlegm, clears Heat and regulates the Water Passages, descends ST Qi.
Rx Function:
*Regulate Lung Qi for any type of cough. (phlegm and/or excess in the chest)
-Stops Pain.
Combine with: LU 7 for cough with Phlegm.
LU 5 - Answer- Big Picture: He-Sea
CAM: on the cubital crease, in the depression of the radial side of the tendon of m.
biceps brachii; this point is located when the elbow is slightly flexed.
Deadman: on the cubital crease of the elbow, in the depression at the radial side of
the tendon of biceps brachii.
Functions:
-Clears Heat for the Lungs
-Descends rebellious Qi
-Regulates the Water Passages
-Activates the channel
-Relaxes the Sinews
-Alleviates Pain

LU 6 - Answer- Big Picture: Xi-Cleft
CAM: On the palmar aspect of the forearm, on the line joining Taiyuan LU9, and
Chize LU5, 7 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
Deadman: On the flexor aspect of the forearm, 7 cun proximal to Taiyuan LU9, on
the line connecting Taiyuan LU9 with Chize, LU5.
Functions:
-Disseminates and descends LU Qi
-Clears Heat and moistens the Lungs
-Clears Heat and stops bleeding

crease of the wrist between the brachioradial muscle and the tendon of long
abductor muscle of the thumb.
Deadman: On the radial aspect of the forearm, approximately 1.5 cun proximal to
Yangxi LI5, in the cleft between the tendons of the brachoradialis and abductor
pollicis longus.

Stream.
CAM: At the radial end of the transverse crease of the wrist, in the depression on the
lateral side of the radial artery.
Deadman: At the wrist joint, in the depression between the radial artery and the
tendon of abductor pollicis longus, level with Shenmen HT7, (The proximal border of
the pisiform bone)

midpoint of the shaft of the first meta carpal bone and the thenar muscles.

the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the
corner of the nail.

CAM: on the dorsum of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones,
approximately in the middle of the 2nd metacarpal bone on the radial side.
Deadman: On the dorsum of the hand, between the first and second metacarpal
bones, at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone an lose to its radial border.
Functions:
-Regulates the Defensive Qi and adjusts sweating

CAM: when the elbow is flexed, the point is in the depression at the lateral end of the
transverse cubital crease, midway between Chize LU5 and the lateral epicondyle of
the humerus.
Deadman: At the elbow, midway between Chize LU5 and the lateral epicondyle of
the humerus, at the lateral end of the transverse cubital crease.
