, INTRODUCTION
I have been employed by Innocent Drinks as a
management trainee. As my job as a management
trainee I have been asked to write a report to my
manager examining the environment in which Innocent
Drinks operates in. I have also been asked to examine
the business markets itself.
Innocent Drinks, who are partly owned by Coca Cola, is
a very competitive competitor compared to all its other
competitors such as Naked another huge competitor.
Innocent Drinks have recently entered a very
competitive industry. The owners of Innocent Drinks are
young and very passionate in which why they wanted
me to become a part of their exciting future they have
ahead of them.

Innocent Drinks
Innocent Drinks is a company that was founded in Cambridge in 1998.
Innocent Drinks is a company that make fruit smoothies and drinks
that are sold to various outlets throughout the world.
The External Environment:
Since the year 2010 Innocent Drinks have going back and forth campaigning
to get VAT removed from their healthy drinks. Innocent Drinks thinks that
the correlation of the government taxing them for something healthy and
beneficial such as their drinks does not match whereas unhealthy foods such
as burgers and chips are not taxed but their healthy drinks are.
Innocent Drinks have stated that “if the VAT charge was reduced, we could pass
the saving on to our drinkers.”. This suggest the tax for Innocents fruit drinks are
exceptionally high. If the tax were to be reduced Innocent Drinks can charge less for
the drinks, they sell and make bigger bottles than include more fruit that the original
ones contain. This also suggest the government is not helping Innocent Drinks who are
trying to make more people healthier.
The biggest factor is Innocent Drinks will face will be Brexit. Innocent
Drinks could suffer the loss of majority of customers and businesses
scattered around the EU. Innocent could also suffer the cost of trading
around their businesses around the EU if the United Kingdom either, leaves
the EU with a bad deal or leaves the EU in general if no commitments are
put in place for Innocent Drinks. If either occurrence is to take place the
taxes for Innocent Drinks will increase and the product prices will also
increase.
