ABSTRACT
Project management focuses on developing plans, controlling activities, and
directing employees to meet the desired expectations. Project managers are
responsible for overseeing the performance of members and making critical
decisions that influence the success or failure of the initiative. It is the responsibility
of project directors to ensure that the members complete tasks on time to achieve
the strategic objectives. Projects must be completed on time to reduce additional
expenses and eliminate wastage of physical resources. However, every initiative is
prone to risks that affect the performance or can cause failure. Directors are
responsible for determining and controlling the risks. Besides, managers can make
decisions that trigger the development of risks. Each institution, including social
organizations, develops projects to introduce change or improve performance. Social
organizations experience problems when incorporating project plans that increase
delays or decrease performance. Managers in social institutions disregard the seven
efficiency factors that facilitate the success of a project. Organizations must meet the
needs of the clients to enhance satisfaction. It is critical to mitigating the risk by
incorporating avoidance and acceptance methods to achieve the expected
outcomes.
