PRESENTATION:



- Frida Kahlo nació el 6 de julio de 1907 (mil novecientos siete) en una pintoresca
vivienda de Coyoacán, conocida como “La Casa Azul”.
- No cabe duda de que el arte de Kahlo está muy relacionado con su vida traumática.
Utilizaba las experiencias de su propia vida, y expresaba con el alma y el corazón.
- En 1925 (mil novecientos veinticinco), la vida de Frida cambió para siempre debido a
un grave accidente cuando un autobús fue arrollado por un tranvía.
- Cuando otro artista, Diego Rivera, vio la obra de Frida, quedó impresionado y pronto
se volvieron muy amistosos. Su matrimonio tuvo lugar en 1929 (mil novecientos
veintinueve), el comienzo de una relación muy turbulenta.
- Una característica clave en la obra de Frida es la mexicanidad, algo que le
apasionaba mucho. Por ejemplo, podemos verla en su obra: ‘autorretrato en la
frontera entre México y los Estados Unidos’.
- En términos de su reconocimiento internacional, Frida es una mujer muy celebrada
no sólo por su arte extraordinario durante sus propias luchas inmensas, sino también
por su influencia en la cultura mexicana.
- A pesar de su muerte temprana en 1954 (mil novecientos cincuenta y cuatro) Frida
tenía y sigue manteniendo tras su muerte, una presencia como un símbolo de
feminismo por todo el mundo.
- Desde el punto de vista personal, me molan los colores en las obras de Frida y
admiro la manera en que pintaba para expresar sus sentimientos y su experiencia
personal.
- Por último, la carrera de Frida fue fenomenal y creo que su éxito se debió en gran
parte a la forma en que su vida traumática permitió que su arte fuera tan expresivo.
