Real Estate Commissioner Duties - ANSWER-PIMA
P-Promulgate rules through a public process (once written they are reviewed by AZ
Attorney General and hearing must be held before they are finally adopted)

National Association of Realtors - ANSWER--A principal trade or professional
organization of real estate brokers.
-Members agree to abide by a code of ethics.
-not a government agency
ADRE Bulletin - ANSWER-ADRE publishes a quarterly newsletter that includes
commentary on law and rules, updates on licensing statistics, as well as articles on
topics that are relevant to real estate licensees
-also lists any disciplinary actions the Department has taken against AZ real estate
licensees and brokerage companies
-list includes name, license number, brokerage, summary of violation, any penalty
that was imposed
Renewal of Broker and Salesperson Licenses - ANSWER--licenses must be
renewed every 2 years by the last day of the month of activation
-salesperson/associate brokers must attend at least 24 hours of continuing education
every 2 years
-designated, employed and associate brokers with authority must attend 30 hours of
CE including three broker management clinics every 2 years
-there is a 12 month grace period before the license is fully expired
-while the license is expired they are not allowed to perform real estate business
-employing broker's license expired severs their employees and may be rehired on
renewal of employing broker's license
Temporary Broker's License - ANSWER-- temporary license issued to a surviving
spouse, next of kin, salesperson on death or incapacity of a licensed broker or
broker-salesperson.
-not to exceed 90 days
-purpose is to wind down business
