ties. These resources include; buildings and facilities, materials and waste, plant and
machinery, equipment, maintenance, emergency provision, insurance and security.


Buildings and Facilities;
As Sephora is a worldwide brand, they have numerous outlooks globally. Sephora also
manufacturers multiple cosmetics, thus having a number of production facilities.


Materials and Waste;
Cosmetics and Perfumes are packaged in plastic and cardboard boxes. These packag-
ings are disposable, the waste is a material supplied by the manufacturer to which they
supply the product. As Sephora also provides a service and applies makeup, they use
one time use disposable makeup applicators.


Vehicles;
Sephora needs vehicles to supply and distribute their products around to their stores,
they also require transport to acquire other products. They also offer an online-store
which they deliver products.


Fixtures and Fittings;
They are multiple fixtures and fittings throughout the store such as; cashier, stands,
mirrors, lights. A cashier is mandatory to have customers however stands, mirrors and
lights contribute to the customer experience which makes them more inclined to pur-

in certain cases of loss.


Security;
Security is used multiple ways such as an employee inside the shop by the entrance
monitoring what people are bringing out and in of the store. Sephora also has cameras
and alarms that detect stolen products. Security is important for employees and cus-
tomers to feel safe while shopping but also to monitor the safety of the products.

Technological Resources are intangible resources that protect and improves the busi-
ness such as; intellectual properties, accumulated skills and experience, software li-
censes, patents and copyrights.
