What is the purpose of beading/boxing and pouring the master cast?
To fabricate a cast that:
- Preserves the peripheral
role
- Provides a protective rim
around the cast defined as
the land area. This land
area must be 4-5 mm wide.
- Produce a dense cast of
vacuum mixed stone of the
proper dimension (10- 15
mm thick) to permit
flasking.
